  • Alert:

With the exponential increase in cases over the last few weeks, resources are drying up.  The schools have worked extra hard to provide a safe environment for teachers and staff.  Contact tracing measures have fallen to the schools to help keep up with the increasing numbers.  Families can help keep our schools stay open by choosing to limit the number of exposures over Halloween.   In lieu of door to door trick or treating, have a small gathering at home in the yard with games.  Keep it to your cohort group. The last thing we want is you having COVID and trick or treating around the neighborhood. By keeping it small, you lower the risk of anyone getting sick! Have a safe Halloween!

  • Alert:

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

Due to the increasing COVID numbers, Parent Teacher Conferences will be held via phone this year.
October 29th is an early release (1 PM) day for conferences and teachers will be calling after school on that day.  If you have an older student with many teachers and would like to talk to a specific teacher please contact the school or the specific teacher you would like to speak with to arrange an appointment.
    Go Tigers!

The Darby School Cafeteria offers nutritious breakfast and lunch menu items every day. Students may bring lunch from home or purchase meals at school. Additional fresh fruits and vegetables are free at lunch, and other extra items may be purchased for an additional  $1.00. Extra milk is always available for .50 cents.

It is a privilege to eat in our lunchroom. We ask that students show respect for lunchroom rules, workers, and the rights of others when using the lunchroom. Please observe and follow the posted rules of conduct in the cafeteria.

Students also have an outside dining area, where the same rules apply.

Darby Schools will be providing meals to children 18 years of age and under during the school closure. Meals will be available curbside in front of the cafeteria from 5pm-7pm for pick up beginning Tuesday March 17, 2020, and for the rest of this week. The meals that you pick up will be breakfast and lunch for the following day. We will be calling each individual family tomorrow between 8am-12pm to get additional information for the following weeks meal distribution.

Our main goal is to provide meals to families that need them to help us get through this trying time.

Free and Reduced Meals

Free and reduced meal prices are available to all qualifying families. In addition to helping families with food costs, a high number of participants in the program help our school qualify for grants and other programs. Applications for the Free and Reduced-Price Meals System (FARMS) program may be turned in to the elementary, high school, or district offices. One application applies to all students within the household. This form is available below - see "attachments."

Special Dietary Needs

If your child has specific food allergies, requests for food substitutions should be made to the cafeteria manager. A doctor's note is required for these requests.
