Darby Schools are off to a great start to the year. We are already at the first mid-quarter, so reports will be coming home on Wednesday. If you have any concerns about your child’s progress, please contact their teacher. Fall parent teacher conferences will be at the end of the first quarter.
The K-4 teachers held mini lessons on American Indian Heritage Day. Students were introduced to arts and crafts, Native American culture, and had some guests demonstrate music and dance. It was a great activity!
Thank you to all the parents who have returned their beginning of the year information packets with updated contact information. If you still haven’t returned them, please do so as soon as possible.
With the change in the weather, please make sure your children are dressing appropriately. Layers seem to work the best as the days are chilly in the morning and get warmer in the afternoon. If you need help with warm coats for winter, contact Mr. Kohn.
There will be an informational meeting regarding Title I services, and other programs our school offers. Dinner sponsored by DSEF will be served in conjunction with this event on Tuesday, Oct 8 at 5:30-7:00. There is a flyer attached to this newsletter. Clarification will be provided on the Supplemental Education Services that was sent home in the mail a few weeks ago as well.
