  • Girls tennis players!  Return your uniforms right now!
  • Drivers Education class begins Monday, June 2nd at 2:00. Attendance is mandatory.
  • Girls basketball practice begins Tuesday from 5-6:30 for our first summer tournament - one week from Saturday.
  • Summer job available - mow yard and change pipe over the summer in Darby. Contact Debbie Johnston for more information.

  • Last day of school - early out at 1pm.
  • 8-12 award assembly at 11:30.

  • Cory finished 15th in the state, earned a medal and earned All State honors. In fact, he is the first all state golfer in school history, and he also holds the school record for a state tournament score.

  • Final exam schedule: 3rd, 4th, lunch, 6th, 5th, 7th.
  • 8th grade Silverwood trip today.
  • Spring Sports Award Banquet is tonight at 6:00pm in the cafeteria:

Congratulations to the 5th-7th Grade Students of the Month:  Sophia Delvo & Hayden Toynbee
 
Darby Schools will once again be offering the Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program.  Monday through Friday all children 18 and under can eat free of charge.  Breakfast will be served from 9-11, and lunch will be from 11-12.  No food program on the 4th of July.
 
XTreme Team Summer Program will be operating this year.  Registration and information will be available soon at the elementary office and our website.
 
Two exciting events will be happening at Darby Schools this week: 
  1. On Tuesday, the 27th we will be interviewing 4 candidates for the K-7 Principal position.  There will be a community meet and greet at 3:30-4:30 in the cafeteria.  All parents and community members are invited.  The interviews will begin at 5:00 and start on the hour until 8:00.  After the interviews the board will accept public comment, and then go into closed session to make their decision.
  2. Darby Schools are 125 years old.   Friday, May 30th we will be having a birthday party for our school.  Lunch will be served to all community members and parents who come to the school between 11:00 and 1:00.  There will be tours of the new locker rooms, and other activities.
