  • Attention Seniors: Please turn in your Senior photos and baby photos to Mrs. Toynbee before Jan. 15.
  • Spanish Club Members: More opportunities to earn money for your trip to Spain! There is a home Junior High Boys’ Basketball tournament on Saturday, December 17th.  The hours are from 8:00 am until 1:45 pm. Times are divided into two-hour shifts.  If you would like to work it, please see Mrs. Perlinger or sign up in her room on the sign-up sheet.
  • Happy birthday to: Mrs. Hansen (her birthday was last Sunday). And today is Halie Rennaker and William Westfall’s birthday!

Food Drive

STUCO will be sponsoring a food drive for families in need this upcoming Christmas.   They are looking for boxed mashed potatoes, canned sweet yams or potatoes, gravy mix or canned gravy, canned cranberries, canned or bottled juice, canned vegetables, stuffing mix or boxed stuffing, marshmallows, turkey baking tins, pickles, canned fruit and olives.  Please take the time to help those in need by bringing in what you are able. Items will be picked up Friday the 16th! Thank you.

Today’s Events

  • High school wrestling practice at Corvallis. Players dismissed at 3:00. Bus leave at 3:05.
  • Junior High boys basketball home game vs. Lone Rock 4:00pm.
  • A representative from the University of Montana will be here at lunch in the library. Stop by for more information about attending college at the U of M.
  • There will be a BRIEF Spanish Club Meeting at 12:10 today in Mrs. Perlinger’s room.  ALL Spanish Club members need to attend.  If you show up at 12:10, the meeting will be done by 12:15!  Be there and be on time!

Today in History

Montgomery Bus Boycott – On December 5, 1955, the Montgomery Bus Boycott started because Rosa Parks, a black woman, refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man. He boycott lasted until December 20, 1956. The U.S. Supreme Court declared the laws in Alabama and Montgomery illegal and at that time segregation between whites and blacks ended.
