Darby High School Daily Announcements

Lunch: Cooks Choice, Fresh Fruit & Salad Bar Milk

  • Happy Birthday Ms. Ehmann.

  • Interact is sponsoring a thanksgiving food drive!  Please bring nonperishable food items and put them in the box outside Mr. Dufresne’s door.  No prizes.  No contest.  Just do the right thing to help those in our community who are in need.

  • Clarification on the focus area pizza party.  To earn the party the entire school needs to complete 150 focus areas by next Tuesday.  The red ticket reward program is to reinforce good behavior.  The focus this week is time management.  Rewards kick in at 300, 600, and 900 tickets.

  • SOAR - Darby’s after school program is looking for a high school student to work from 3:25-5:30 M-Th. Please see Shelby or Mrs. Williams for more details.

  • All Travel Club (Spanish Club) students going on the 2019 trip, Murdoch’s gift wrap sign up sheet is across the office on the window of the Spanish Room.

  • Students that have signed up for the ACT Prep class need to be attending in Ms. Shafer's room at least twice a week.  The December ACT is coming up quickly.  You need to get your prep work done now.

  • Darby Schools along with Farmer's State Bank will again be sponsoring the "Darby Sharing Tree" for the community. If your family cannot afford Christmas gifts or would like to buy Christmas gifts for another family see Mr. Kohn or Diana for a form, o0r click on this link Darby Sharing Tree . All forms are due by December 1st.

  • National Honor Society Thursday(today) at Lunch in Mr. Olson’s room.

  • Friday the last 15 min of 7th period all students in Adventure Based Learning Meeting in Mr. Olson’s room.

  • Hayden Pelkey is in 4-H and her club is doing a clothing/household items/toy drive for The Giveaway. The Giveaway will be held on December 2nd at the Hamilton Middle School and is open to anyone. Families in need will be able to come and get clothing or household items for free during this time. They do a nice job organizing it and try to run it like a store by setting it up in sizes and departments so families are more comfortable taking the items they need. If you have any gently used clothing items, household items (decorations, kitchen tools, etc.), or toys that you are willing to donate please let Hayden or Mrs. Pelkey know.. She has to collect them by November 30th as she will need to turn them in on December 1st. They can not accepted TVs, video players, or car seats.


  • The annual Elks scholarship is available.  This scholarship is worth up to $50,000.   This is an academic driven scholarship.  Deadline is November 27th.  See Mr. Kohn for an application.
