Darby High School Daily Announcements

Lunch Today: Colonists Chicken Sandwich & tater Tots, Fresh Fruit & Salad Bar, Milk

  • Today, Monday the 7th is Tip Your Cap to Pete Ehmann and Family day at Darby Schools.  To wear a hat in school that day students will pay $1 (or as much as they wish to donate), and teachers will pay $10 (or as much as they wish to donate).  You do not need to wear a hat to donate.  All proceeds will go toward helping the Ehmann family in their time of need.  Thank you for your support. *Presented by the Darby High School Interact Club, and the high school and junior high student councils.** You must have a red stamp to wear your hat***

  • Congrats to Kyle Wall!  This week’s student of week.  BOOYAH!

  • U of M will be here today at 10:00am in the High School Library

  • Any Junior Girls that are interested in attending Girl's State this year need to see Mr. Kohn for an application.

  • Elections will be held in the High School Gym on Tuesday.  Please use the back of the parking lot on Tuesday.  Please don't walk through the gym on Tuesday.  Please help direct voters to the gym if they look lost.

  • Adventure Based Learning Club will have a meeting on Monday November 14th at lunch in Mr. Olson's room.

  • Juniors and seniors who are going to visit the U and Missoula College on November 9:  You need your permission slip and money for lunch turned in ASAP - we have to pre-pay for the lunches.  Lunch costs $6.75 at the Food Zoo.  The next college visit will be to MSU on November 15.  A sign up sheet is at the office.  

  • All Juniors will be taking the ASVAB test on tomorrow,Tuesday, November 8th from 8:30am to 11:30am

  • Picture Retakes Wednesday Nov 9th from 3PM - 6PM at Images By Stephens in Hamilton. No appointment is necessary.

  • The High School student council will be having a movie night: “Lights Out”  in the Junior High gym on Nov. 11th at 7:00 PM for grades 8-12 only.  8th graders must have a signed permission slip stating they are 13 years of age (if PG-13) and have their parents permission to see the movie.  No slip - no entry.  $5 advanced tickets get you: entrance into the movie, 1 bag of popcorn, 1 pop of your choice!   $2 general admission for entrance to the movie.   See Mr. P to get your tickets.

  • MUN Please finish and submit your position papers to the University!! Fees and Permission slips ASAP to Mr. Gideon. Always, Always...Wednesday meetings at lunch.

  • Sophomores.  If you are interested in attending the HOBY leadership conference, get an application from Mr. D.

  • If you are interested in joining Book Club, contact Mr. D.  Applications for Advanced Book Club are due by November 11th.  Advanced Book Club will read faster, with the expectation that you will do the assigned reading.  

  • Interact meeting this Thursday at lunch.  Please bring your lunch to Mr. Dufresne’s room at 12:25.  Thank you!
