Notices & Reminders:

  • Interested in taking a backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon over spring break??!!?  You heard me right.  Backpacking in the Grand Canyon through the school.  See the posters soon to be up around the school or talk to Mr. Olson about it.  Darby Schools will be taking a select number of students backpacking in the Grand Canyon this spring break!!!

  • The December 12th ACT test is rapidly approaching.  Mr. Rennaker and Mrs. Burdette are offering free ACT Prep.  Wednesday Mrs. Burdette will offer English/Reading/Writing prep at 7:30 & Thursday Mr, Rennaker will offer math prep at 7:30 am and.  This is open to any 8-12 student that is planning on taking the ACT.

  • The Darby "Sharing Tree"  will once again be offered to the children of Darby.  The tree will be on display at the Darby branch of Farmer's State Bank.  Local families may participate in either giving or receiving from the tree.  

  • If you are in need of a Warm coat and/or boots contact Mr. Kohn.

  • All 8th - 11th grade students who have a laptop checked out must return on Tues or see Mr. Bridges to use over the holiday.

  • Any seniors that are seeking a career in law enforcement.  See Mr. Kohn for a scholarship opportunity this week.

  • We have an outdoor mentor opportunity for a couple of high school students to mentor JH students from the Bitterroot Valley through the BEAR program.  This includes backpacking, skiing, and climbing trips with the BEAR staff.  If you want to earn volunteer hours and help a younger student see Mr. Kohn for an application.

  • There is a card for Garret and Warren Odlin at the high school front office for anyone to sign.

Today’s Events:

  • Model United Nations students will be at the University of Montana.

  • Advance PE field trip to the Aquatic Center (morning only)

  • Boys Basketball Practice at 3:45pm

  • Girls Basketball Practice at 5:45pm

  • Report Cards Go Home

Future Event:

 Wednesday – November 25th  

  • ACT English Test Prep at 7:30am with Mrs. Burdette

  • Girls Basketball Practice at 2:45pm

  • Boys Basketball Practice at 4:45pm

Thursday – November 26th  

  • NO SCHOOL – Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break.

  • Thanksgiving Day Fun Run at the High School (9:00am start)

Friday – November 27th

  • NO SCHOOL – Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break.

  • Boys Basketball Practice at 8:00am

  • Girls Basketball Practice at 5:00pm

Saturday – November 28th  

  • High School Basketball’s Red/White Scrimmage (4:00pm): Girls will be first, followed by the Boys

December 12th: ACT Test

December 22nd: End of Second Quarter
