The 8th grade had an awesome time at the Brown/Kofoid’s house picking and pressing apples into cider! Not only did did we learn how to make delicious apple cider, we enjoyed s’mores and cocoa by the fire. If you see Brenda Kofoid at the front desk, please thank her for the wonderful afternoon!

****ALERT**** The JH Boys Basketball Meeting has been moved to October 27th after the first practice.
Junior High Boys Basketball Season begins next week.
Darby School District is in the beginning stages of developing a Strategic Plan to guide our district over the next 3–5 years. This plan will help shape our priorities, goals, and direction as we continue working to provide the best educational experience for our students. As part of this important process, we are gathering feedback from all stakeholders; students, staff, parents, and community members. Your perspective is vital in helping us understand our strengths and identify areas for growth.

Game Day in Florence! Good Luck to our High School Volleyball team as they compete against Florence today at 4:30 pm.
The Darby High School ceramics classes traveled to Helena, MT on Wednesday, October 1st, in order to tour the facilities as well as purchase 1000 lbs of clay from the Archie Bray Ceramic residency.
Mr. Bryers and his students used this trip to get inspired and motivated about what can be built from clay, and how the professional artists at the Bray were using clay to make amazing sculptures and pottery.
We also picked up 1000 lbs of clay, which helped the art department not spend loads of money on shipping and handling. The trip was great, and thanks to all the parents and staff for making these trips happen. There is always so much planning that goes into these field trips! We couldn't do it without our parents, our bus drivers, and our staff at Darby Public Schools!
