Good Luck Tigers at the MHSA Class B Divisional Tournament! The tournament begins March 5th, with Darby versus Mission at 11:30am.
Yesterday our Physical Science Class was able to visit the Ravalli County Airport and learn more about Aviation Careers and Opportunities. A big thank you to the Ravalli County Airport and Choice Aviation for providing this experience to our students. As a district, we are always looking at ways to provide our students with world class opportunities in a small school setting. The Darby School District is exploring a new possible Aviation Pathway in partnership with Choice Aviation and Northwest College.
Future 1st Grade teacher Clark Christopherson(6th grade) dreams of being a teacher when she grows up. In following her passion, she wrote a letter to the University of Montana-Western about their education program. In response, University of Montana-Western sent back a letter to Clark and also sent a representative from the school to discuss her future profession. Great job Ms. Clark Christopherson!

Congratulations to Darby 7th grade student Sam Bennett on earning 2nd Place at the Ravalli County Spelling Bee competition! Sam's dedication, preparation, and perseverance were on full display as he represented Darby with excellence. Great job Sam!

The Darby School District is proud to celebrate SkillsUSA Week and recognize the powerful impact of Career & Technical Education (CTE) on student success. CTE connects classroom learning to real-world careers by giving students hands-on experience in fields like healthcare, construction, IT, engineering, and skilled trades. These programs help students build job-ready skills while strengthening problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and time management. At the Darby High School and Middle School we have over 90 student actively participating in the SkillsUSA Club and Classroom. Thank you to all who help make our SkillsUSA program successful, impactful and memorable.
Congratulations to McCoy Townsend on his commitment to Dickinson State University to play football. McCoy had a decorated season which has been acknowledged both locally and nationally. He has also been chosen to play in the 8-Man All-Star game on June 6 in Butte, as well as, being selected to compete in the East West Shrine Game on June 20 in Butte as well. Best of Luck McCoy

Congratulations to the Darby wrestling team on a strong performance at the Ted Kato tournament in Thompson Falls this past weekend. The tournament featured teams from MT, ID, and WA. The Tigers had several standout performances, including a champion at #215 Eli Spross. Other notable finishes were Reagan Christopherson(2nd), Drextin Evers (2nd), Marco Biesiot (2nd), Tayler Rust(2nd), Braelynn Schlapman (3rd), and Halana May(4th). Overall, the Tigers finished 6th as a team. Tigers will be on the mat again this week on Tuesday in Arlee and on Saturday in Mission.

Admission to Vanderbilt is highly competitive, with only a small percentage of applicants earning acceptance, making Lilly’s achievement especially impressive.
This marks the second year in a row that a Darby High School student has earned their way into Vanderbilt, a testament to both student dedication and the strength of the educational opportunities available at Darby High School.
We are incredibly proud of Lilly, her commitment to excellence, and the hard work that led to this accomplishment.
