XC Awards 2024 Saturday the 16th at the Hiker’s Cabin, Como Lake. Parents and athletes ran or hiked the Lake, followed by awesome Tri-tip from Hamilton Packing and the Long’s wood fired smoker. Thirty-One people couldn’t quite eat all five—Homemade everything! Coach Gideon and his wife Karen got up early to get the fire blazing in the nice cool Fall weather. The Parent Group that helped out was awesome. It is great to see them lead their kids by example. We are already looking forward to next season!

Family Night is Thursday the 21st! We will discuss cell phone/internet safety with a presentation by Detective Dan Mendonca of the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office for grades 5th thru 8th, walk-to math, and MAST testing. TK-4th grade will be doing classroom activities. Stop by at 5:30 for a free dinner and an informative night!

November Board Meeting Agenda
Mr. Gideon took a few runners to the Elk Ramble! Here is his summary from the day:
We each got First place in our age divisions-9.75 miles…1500 feet of climbing at the Elk Ramble up the Rattlesnake in Missoula. Rain and wind in the 30s. The best conditions for running! Ben was third overall.
We will have our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th at 10 am! The assembly will take place in the High School Gym and all Veterans and community members are welcome.
Darby School District was excited to host the Tin Cup 2024 Marksmanship Match! We had teams from Walla Walla, Washington, Billings, Missoula, and Darby.

The Darby School District has revamped its website as well as a new school app. The intent of this update is to provide our stakeholders with everything Darby Tigers in your pocket. EconoQuest update from Mr. Gideon:
At EconoQuest in Bozeman at MSU. We attended a show at the Planetarium, did a Scavenger Hunt in the Museum of the Rockies, listened to speakers in the tech industry-‘Cold’ science and Vacuum Industries, had lunch with workers in the tech industry and PHd students in Engineering. Now we are on various tours through the Campus before competition presentations.
