The 8th grade had an awesome time at the Brown/Kofoid’s house picking and pressing apples into cider! Not only did did we learn how to make delicious apple cider, we enjoyed s’mores and cocoa by the fire. If you see Brenda Kofoid at the front desk, please thank her for the wonderful afternoon!

The Darby High School ceramics classes traveled to Helena, MT on Wednesday, October 1st, in order to tour the facilities as well as purchase 1000 lbs of clay from the Archie Bray Ceramic residency.
Mr. Bryers and his students used this trip to get inspired and motivated about what can be built from clay, and how the professional artists at the Bray were using clay to make amazing sculptures and pottery.
We also picked up 1000 lbs of clay, which helped the art department not spend loads of money on shipping and handling. The trip was great, and thanks to all the parents and staff for making these trips happen. There is always so much planning that goes into these field trips! We couldn't do it without our parents, our bus drivers, and our staff at Darby Public Schools!
