3rd grade lunch at the park!
FYI

The elementary students watched a dance performance of "Peter and The Wolf" by Dance In The Root on Wednesday! Directors Mauriana Jessop and Char Pigman brought eight dancers to the school stage for their very first production in front of a live audience. The students could ask the dancers questions after the show, and each class had the opportunity to take pictures with the performers. We hope to make this an annual event!

Join us on May 15th for the Spring Concert! The concert will be held in the High School Gym starting at 7 pm, grades TK-12th.

Our Darby Tiger Physics students recently enjoyed a well-deserved field trip to Silverwood Theme Park! This trip was a celebration of the hard work and determination these students have shown throughout the year.
Physics is one of the most challenging subjects in high school. It blends math, logic, and conceptual reasoning to explain the forces and motion that shape everything from roller coasters to planetary orbits. Students must not only master formulas and mathematical procedures but also develop the ability to visualize motions, forces, momentum, and energy in real-world contexts. We're incredibly proud of how our students have risen to the occasion, tackling these challenges with grit and curiosity!
Thank you!
Mr. Shulstad

Darby High School hosted Ravalli County Law Enforcement Personnel on Tuesday, April 29th!
The day started with a school-wide assembly led by world-renowned mountain climber and author John Beede. He addressed the students about perseverance, emphasizing the importance of not giving up when things become difficult and the significance of goal setting. After the assembly, students in grades 8-12 attended workshops led by Ravalli County Law Enforcement Personnel. Students met with MHP Troopers to discuss safe driving, driving laws, road conditions, and the consequences of breaking those laws. The Ravalli County Sheriff's Department met with students to discuss careers in law enforcement and the deployment of non-lethal weapons. Ravalli Youth Probation met with students to help them understand youth probation and how to make positive choices. Each student had the opportunity to drive an ATV with an instructor and experience the impaired driving goggles. Additionally, each student had the chance to participate in a sobriety test demonstration and receive a driving course certificate.
